1. What Are Cookies and Similar Technologies?

2. Technologies Used on This Website

Naqash Studio currently uses only technical and functional technologies necessary for the operation, security and user-requested preferences of the website. We do not currently use third-party analytics, advertising or profiling trackers on the initial page load.

PHP Session Cookie (PHPSESSID)

Type: Strictly necessary technical cookie.

Purpose: Maintains the website session and supports security functions such as CSRF protection, temporary form state and authenticated areas where applicable.

Duration: Session cookie. It normally expires when the browser session ends.

Language Preference Cookie (naqash_lang)

Type: Functional / user-requested preference cookie.

Purpose: Remembers the language selected by the user so that the website can continue displaying content in English, Spanish or Catalan on subsequent visits.

Duration: 30 days.

This preference is used only to provide the language choice expressly selected by the user and is not used for advertising, profiling or behavioural tracking.

Cookie Preference Storage (naqash_cookie_preferences)

Technology: Browser localStorage. This is not a traditional HTTP cookie.

Purpose: Stores the cookie/privacy choices selected through the Cookie Preferences panel, including the current consent version and the categories selected by the user.

Current categories: Necessary and functional preferences. Analytics and marketing categories are currently not in use and remain disabled.

Duration: The information remains in the browser until the user changes or clears their preferences, clears browser storage, or a future version of the consent system invalidates the stored settings.

3. Cookies That Do Not Require Prior Consent

Technical cookies that are strictly necessary for the operation and security of the website may be used without prior consent where permitted by applicable law.

A preference cookie used exclusively to remember a language specifically selected by the user may also be exempt from prior consent where it is limited to providing that user-requested functionality and is not used for additional purposes.

4. Analytics, Advertising and Profiling

Naqash Studio does not currently use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, advertising cookies, behavioural profiling cookies or similar tracking technologies on the initial page load.

The Cookie Preferences interface may display Analytics and Marketing categories for transparency and future compatibility, but those categories are currently inactive and remain disabled.

If non-essential analytics, advertising or profiling technologies are introduced in the future, they will not be activated before the required consent is obtained. The consent configuration version will also be updated so that previous choices are not silently reused for newly introduced tracking purposes.

5. Third-Party Video Services

The website may contain video content hosted by third-party platforms such as YouTube or Vimeo.

External video players use a click-to-play system. No YouTube or Vimeo iframe is loaded automatically on the initial page visit. A connection to the relevant third-party platform is made only after the user deliberately chooses to play the external video.

Once a third-party video is activated, that provider may process technical information or use cookies or other technologies in accordance with its own privacy and cookie policies.

6. Instagram Content

Recent Instagram content displayed on the website uses locally cached preview images. The website does not automatically load the Instagram embed SDK, iframe or tracking resources when the page is opened.

A connection to Instagram occurs only when the user deliberately follows an external link to Instagram.

7. Locally Hosted Website Assets

The website serves its main CSS framework and web fonts locally. Tailwind CSS, Inter and Playfair Display are not loaded from external Google Fonts or Tailwind CDN services during normal public page loading.

8. Managing Your Preferences

You can view or change your cookie and storage preferences at any time by using the Cookie Settings control available in the footer of the website.

The Cookie Settings panel allows you to review the technologies currently in use and change your functional preference selection. Strictly necessary technologies cannot be disabled where they are required for the operation and security of the website.

You can also delete cookies and local browser storage through your browser settings. Please note that deleting or blocking certain technical or preference data may affect some website functions or cause your language and privacy settings to be forgotten.

9. Changes to this Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy may be updated if the technologies used by the website, applicable legal requirements or the purposes of processing change. The current version and its latest update date will remain available on this website.
